Caramelized Apple Spice cake begins

To begin this cake I need to peel, core, cut and grate 6 lbs. of apples...
Good thing for me is that we have apple trees on the property and they taste quite nice. For today's baking tunes, Colbie Caillat is my choice. Outside my window, I have the sites of autumn in full style. A huge oak tree with yellow, green and brown leaves with a gorgeous blue sky as the background. And the birds are chirping away.

So off to my apple peeling...
